Clients can now see the impact of their energy choices
EDP, a corporate in the energy market, is working on edp re:dy for the last couple years. This is an innovative system that allows the clients to connect and control their home whenever they want, wherever they are. The edp re:dy box is connected directly to the clients' smart meter providing all the information regarding energy consumption. All that data will be transformed into actionable insights to optimise their energy consumption shared on the monthly energy report. We helped the marketing team of EDP re:dy to design and build their monthly newsletter, and a rich and distinctive energy report.
We did it by listening to how the team wants to be more in touch and with their clients and provide them valuable information. On the one hand, the marketing team wants to have the freedom to create and customize their newsletters and reports every time, on the other hand, we have to guarantee the client always receives attractive, useful and straightforward content.
A modular monthly newsletter
Newsletters don’t need to be annoying, useless and spammy. We wanted to build something attractive, simple and that gives valuable information to the user.
In this newsletter, the clients have a summary of their energy report and useful insights about the product that are relevant to them.
The marketing team can also completely customise it with different types of blocks and CTAs, each month, for each user.
Customisable report easy to read and understand
We turned a boring report with complex data into an interactive one, with graphics that are easy to read, and with displayed information based on user's preferences. Getting the user experience right was a key part of this report to ensure, on the one hand, a report that is easy to read and understand, and on the other, a design that matches with EDP's brand.
Each report is customisable considering the type of client, their equipments and the energy products they have. Depending on their energy data, the marketing team can also send recommendations about their hired power, tariff or hours of consumption.
This work would not be complete if the marketing team didn't have any insights about the newsletters and the reports they sent.
The analytics platform was built from scratch and completely tailor-made, aggregating information from google analytics, mixpanel and sendgrid, to give relevant data like open rate, engagement rate and demographic information.
